Traveling to Woods Hole and WHOI

The Symposium will take place in Redfield Auditorium in the village of Woods Hole (Water Street, WHOI’s Village campus) with a reception to follow on the 5th Floor of Clark Lab (Woods Hole Road, WHOI’s Quissett Campus).


To attend the symposium in-person, one must be fully vaccinated for Covid19.

Please be aware that parking is very limited in Woods Hole Village and it’s recommended that if you have your own transportation to park on Quissett Campus in the Clark Lab parking lot where a shuttle is available that goes back and forth between the two campuses -- WHOI Passenger Shuttle Schedule

Air Travel

The two airports nearest to Woods Hole are Boston Logan Airport (BOS) and Providence T.F. Green Airport (PVD). Both airports are just under 80 miles from Woods Hole.

Available Ground Transportation

Logan Airport has good direct bus service (Peter Pan Bus Lines) to Falmouth and Woods Hole.

At Boston’s Logan Airport, Peter Pan buses (9x/day) leave directly for Falmouth and Woods Hole, and take about 2 hours.  Outside each terminal on the ground floor (exit the baggage claim floor) is a sign that says “Scheduled Buses”.  Wait here for the Falmouth/Woods Hole bus.

Please note that the bus service from from T.F Green Airport in Providence, RI, is time consuming and involves a couple transfers and is not near as convenient as buses from Boston’s Logan Airport to Falmouth/Woods Hole.

If you are planning to utilize the bus service, it’s best to try and coordinate your flight arrival time close to the bus departure time.
